Sheila Bridges is a New York interior designer, author, and cultural tastemaker widely regarded as one of the most influential designers of her generation. Based in Harlem, she is the creator of the Harlem Toile de Jouy® wallcovering, a landmark work that reimagines the classic French toile through the lens of African American life and culture. Her residential, commercial, and hospitality work combines classic European elegance with bold personal vision.

Bridges is the author of Furnishing Forward: A Practical Guide to Buying and Displaying What You Love and has appeared on HGTV and major television programs.
